Pass The Pie

Wow.

Wowowowowowow. I am completely blown away by the love I felt from you guys in the comment section, through emails, and on Twitter in regards to yesterday’s post. It’s truly amazing to know that so many of you care enough to leave such thoughtful words of encouragement, regardless of the fact that you don’t even know the specifics of what’s going on in my life. You all are the BEST, and I owe you a huge thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Even Popcorn was feeling the love (WARNING: Non-dog-lovers, shield your eyes.)

…almost a little too much.

No shame.

As you can see by my attempt to pull off boots and jeans down here in Miami, the chill is finally starting to pick up, and it’s about time! The thing about this city is that the temperature is so bipolar that you never can tell whether or not the winter breeze is here to stay, or if you’re going to wake up the next day with sunburn-worthy weather all over again.

Alas, in an effort to coax the easy breezy air to stick around, I threw together a fall-themed Thanksgiving workout yesterday afternoon that had my buns and thighs aching. I’ve gotta say—it’s been a while since I created an organized workout for myself at the gym, so it was pretty exciting to get the ball rolling

Lunch & Dinner

After returning back from the gym, I threw together an old favorite– A ghetto salmon salad (canned salmon cooked on the stovetop) with romaine, avocado, ginger dressing, salt and pepper.

FLASH BACK!

Plus an Adora milk chocolate calcium circle

Will and I spent the rest of the afternoon running a few errands, which included some last minute Thanksgiving grocery shopping, picking out a birthday present for my brother (his birthday is Wednesday!), and finishing up season 2 of Glee on Netflix.

I keep hearing that Glee goes downhill in the third season, and I’m really crossing my fingers that it isn’t true. Not that it will prevent me from buying all of the soundtracks to blast in my car, which I’ve already sworn to do

Dinner was pretty simple–

Roasted okra in coconut oil, a chopped chicken sausage from Costco, and brown rice crackers.

Plus ketchup and mustard for dipping, of course! Aaand a few post-dinner spoonfuls of chunky peanut butter, just for good measure.

Alrighty, time to get my Tuesday started. (I just wrote Wednesday and sadly had to backtrack and erase it. Wishful thinking?)

A bit to think about: Do you have fall/winter weather where you live?
