Hardcore Jacket

Allow me to introduce you to my hardcore leather jacket 8)

–but before we get to that, allow me to introduce you to my snackage

Yesterday after lunch I snacked on a stalk of celery with some of my mother’s famous tuna salad (or at least famous to her..) The mix contains dried cranberries, diced celery, and a wee bit of mayonnaise. I’m usually not a fan of mayonnaise-based salads (such as potato or macaroni salad) but the amount she uses is so light that it was barely even noticeable.

A little later, I had a brown rice cake with some Maranatha Sunflower butter and Smuckers Simply Fruit strawberry jelly.

Around 5:00, Will & I decided that it was time to put on our hardcore matching leather jackets & hit the road for church with my momski (mother), broski (brother), and broski’s girl (brother’s girlfriend)

You can thank me for the translations later

A little blurry, but check out that Miami sun beaming through the window

A few nights ago the mums was transporting a tub of black beans in her car (don’t ask) and the juice spilled ALL OVER the front seat! She attempted to clean it up the best that she knew how, but I’m pretty sure the sun baked the bean juice into the cushion because it smells HORRENDOUS. No joke—I vomited all over Will & our hardcore jackets

Okay, that was a joke—but it was grossaloss.

Post-church, we hit up our favorite Thai place: Tani Thai Restaurant (read about my first visit here.) I started hyperventilating as soon as they placed down the water jug in front of me because I knew what was coming

They knew that the river monster had arrived.

We started with the basil mussels as a spicy jump start–

Which led to my dream meal– The Lost in the Garden which was made with sauteed shrimp, (cute) baby corn, broccoli, carrots, and cabbage pieces. All of this was served in a delicious brothy brown sauce with a kick of cayenne pepper on the side.

Needless to say I devoured that entire plate. I don’t come to disappoint.

I also had about 1/4 of this brown rice blob.

We typically don’t order dessert, but whenever at Tani we tend to overindulge. Everything is just too delicious to stop! Will ordered the Thai donuts (and literally ate ALL 10 DONUTS), while my mom got the fried ice cream. I had about 3 spoonfuls of ice cream from the giant fried ball.

As expected, I returned home that night with a food baby in tow. Success.

This morning, I woke up wanting a breakfast that would be pleasing to my eyes and my stomach. I decided that a Banana Berries and Crème Parfait would do the trick.

Banana Berries & Crème Parfait

  • Banana slices
  • Plain nonfat Chobani Greek Yogurt (mixed with Truvia)
  • Puffed brown rice cereal
  • Puffed kamut cereal
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberry slices

Today we’re headed up to Hollywood, Florida (not California) to visit some family for lunch.

Catch ya later

A bit to think about: Do you own a leather jacket or another accessory that makes you feel hardcore (hXc) whenever you wear it?

Tell me about your weekend!
