I’m Brittany & welcome to Itty Bits of Balance!

I started Itty Bits as a simple place to compile my workouts and recipes, but it has turned into something so much more. Here I share my daily musings, foodie finds, kitchen adventures, fitness tips, and all of the other unpredictable moments that life throws in my direction.

With 20 years of an overweight past in my back pocket, I try my best to live out a healthy and “balanced” lifestyle on a daily basis. To me, this means allowing myself a treat (or two) every so often, getting in new and exciting forms of activity and workouts, as well as making sure that I don’t turn into the exercise-addicted junkie that I once was.

After living in Miami until the age of 18, I headed off to Orlando for school, graduated with my Bachelors in Political Science (bleh!) from the University of Central Florida, and recently resettled underneath the Miami sun. I can usually be found in the company of my boyfriend Will, my puppy Popcorn, or my wonderful friends and family.

In 2012, I also received my personal training certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) after many years of bouncing around on the fast track to law school and realizing that it wasn’t where I was supposed to be. My passion for writing, as well as food, fitness, and faith have not only changed my life, but have given me a new understanding of the phrase “love what you do.” Although my definite future still remains unknown, that just gives me all the more reason to enjoy living in the present.

…Oh, and did I mention that I love food?


Because I do. I especially love finding new and innovative ways to make the not-so-healthy recipes into safer options. As a former self-proclaimed greasy fast food lover, I have made a complete turnaround and learned to love the greener & leaner side of the spectrum.
