First and foremost, happy birthday to me!
Secondly, where the HECK did the last 23 years go?
Flash back to the year before and you would have found me with a giant cobra sign around my neck, my first alcoholic beverage in hand, and a princess crown on my head. Not to mention that infamous picture of me being bench pressed by some stranger in a bar.
Oh the things your girlfriends can make you do on your special day. Hopefully Popcorn isn’t as persuasive as my college roommates were.
Alas, today I’ll be celebrating with a more reserved birthday– the first half being spent at work, and the second half enjoying some secret surprise that Will apparently has up his sleeve (which hopefully still involves some froyo if I’m lucky ) Then this weekend were off to Orlando to hit up the theme parks!
And what better way than to start my morning than with some birthday breakfast quinoa?
- 1/4 cup quinoa
- Sliced banana
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 egg white
- Topped with almond butter & coconut butter
To make the breakfast quinoa, I basically cooked the quinoa in water per the directions on the back of the box, then added all of the rest of the ingredients during the last five minutes of cooking.
Now if only I remembered that birthday candle
