2012 Recap

I guess it’s time to say goodbye to 2012!

Considering that 2011 was absolutely the most drastic year of change for me, it’s safe to say that 2012 was a bit more toned down. Well, other than the fact that I graduated from college and plunged headfirst into the “real world”, but I guess that’s all a matter of opinion anyway

The year began in my parents’ kitchen with my two favorite men, complete with dessert wine, Chihuahua clothes (per usual), and 11:00 PM cups of coffee.

And soon followed with my 22nd birthday celebration that I spent surrounded by good friends, froyo, and love.

On February 5th, Will & I brought in our 1 year dating anniversary with our yearly tradition of a theme park visit,

and I received my first piece of diamond jewelry to keep the memory close.

In March, Will and I spent a quality afternoon at Cocoa Beach for the first time

and I wrote some mighty deep posts pondering the next few months of my life, and whether or not I would make it through all of the weighty life changes that were headed my way.

In April, I took and passed the NASM certified personal training exam and received an awesome mug shot in the process,

and then hosted a chili night for my favorite group of Christ-lovin’ girls—all of whom I miss immensely.

I came clean about falling to the dark side of some serious restrictive eating habits, and struggled like a mad woman trying to see myself in God’s eyes instead of in the eyes of this world. In the meantime, Will and I won a giveaway hosted by the brilliant Rachel of Rachel V. Photography and posed for a gorgeous photo-shoot on the streets of Winter Park.

In May, I announced that Popcorn and I were moving back to Miami for a fantastic job opportunity that I was spontaneously blessed with,

and in June, I announced that after careful deliberation Will decided to transfer schools and follow us down. We packed up a U-Haul and off we went!

On June 29, my brother got married to his gorgeous wife Katie, and I was lucky enough to be a part of the bridal party,

and soon after, I traveled up to Orlando for a weekend to walk in (and pose by the fountain for) my UCF undergraduate graduation ceremony.

In September, I got adventurous in the Everglades with Will,

and in November, I got muddy.

After lots of thought and consideration, I ended the year with a much-needed blog break to re-evaluate my priorities and the time I spent in pursuance of them, but that didn’t stop me from having/documenting one heck of a visit to North Palm Beach

or a memorable Christmas celebration.

As I sit here on the last day of 2012, I can’t help but to be immensely grateful for the experiences and life changes that I went through this year. Keep in mind that MANY things go unmentioned here on Itty Bits (this was also a huge year for family struggles), but I’ve come out so much stronger and more faithful than I would’ve ever been without it all. Itty Bits has also been quite a blessing to me, and it’s been a privilege to share my life here with you guys, as spontaneous as it was at times.

So here’s to goodbye 2012, and one heck of a 2013!  Happy New Year
