I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to hear that so many of you have decided to partake in the 30 day Bodyrock challenge too! Even if it seems like something you’d want to participate in but didn’t get to start today, there’s no shame in starting a day or two later! I’d just love to see how many people we can get Bodyrockin’ at once
Oh, and I have to share—today I found out some fantastic news! Actually, the news is fantastic for me and fantastic for you also, because of what happens next…

I won a Cuisinart ice cream maker through Chocolate Covered Katie‘s giveaway that she hosted a few weeks ago! You can only imagine what type of scandalous ice cream/froyo-related activities will be goin’ on around here! This may be a VERY dangerous thing 8)
Almost as dangerous as two-fisted drinking during my Starbucks study session today
A grande café latte with nonfat milk & 2 packets of Truvia from my purse-stash, with a venti water
What can I say? I never can predict if I’ll be feelin’ the hot or the cold. (You can blame this on Miami
)
Though apparently the hot won the battle because as soon as I got home, I meandered my way into the kitchen to attempt first-time cabbage soup. I knew that I had half-a-head to use up, and roasting can only get me so far so fast. I also threw in a few extra veggies as well as some Cannellini beans for added protein.
So was it a winner?
Heck yes! It was actually a very light winner too, so I managed to have about 3 bowls-worth, plus a slice of Ener-G light brown rice toast + melted goat cheese on the side.
The recipe will be up sometime later this week, but now it’s time to go investigate that leftover holiday chocolate stash
Good night!
A bit to think about: Ever made homemade ice cream?

My husband and I got that exact ice cream maker for Christmas from his parents. We attempted to make sorbet, but we didn’t follow a recipe, so our fruit puree never “set”–it was more like a slushie than sorbet. I can’t wait for summer so we can use tons of fresh fruit to create all we want!
Ooo! sorbet sounds amazing
I’ll have to try that when mine arrives!

Umm.. Your own ice cream maker? A-mazing.
Pretty please, will you do a blog post about living in Florida (especially Miami??). My husband and I will be moving there in May & I’m clueless on what to expect!
